I have used the HD video record on several occasions with success, however, lately it gets choppey and doesn't record properly.

Anyone had this happen to them?

Any fix to this?

Thanks all!

Anagram7507 had a great suggestion to try.  I am not sure if you have tried resetting the phone by just pulling out the battery, but that is a good thing to try as well.  If all else fails, and you cannot seem to get it to stop being so choppy, a master reset may be required.

Follow these steps:

Tap Settings
Tap About Your phone
Tap Erase Phone Data

Tap to erase all your personal data from the phone. This is a drastic measure as it erases all your sign-in information, settings, contacts, favorites, photos, videos, music, and
messages from your phone. You will be asked to confirm.

Do you have a lot of pictures or videos stored on your phone? I was having problems with HD video too, but when I took most of my pictures off my phone, it started working fine again.

I am having the same choppy problem but on my computer not on my phone.  When I watch the videos on my phone everything goes fine.  Sound and picture are perfect.  But when I watch any of these HD videos on my computer using Quick Time Player the audio is perfect but the video is choppy and gets stuck.  Tried watching it with Windows Media Player but I got a message saying it didn't support my file type.  Guess it doesn't like MP4 files.

I am trying to take all of my daughter's cheerleading videos I've made and make a movie with Windows Movie Maker.  But if I can't even watch the videos there is no way I'm going to be able to use these to make a movie of them for her grandparents Smiley Sad  I need a solution!!!

These two are media players that work well for me that I learned about through recommendations from others:

And to analyze your recorded videos and find out information like frame rate, bitrate, etc., here are two great tools:
