what you can do take your device back to a verizon store and ask a lead technician if they can transfer your contacts onto a vzw sim card from your old phone and from the sim card into the kin two. the only thing it only does 250 at a pop. i have yet to figure out to get more than that. this should resolve your issue. if it still does not work check your contacts for any specical charaters.

This issue is really BIG because none of the options mentioned here work.
I've tried the following options so far with NO luck.
1) Exchange (removed from the new models)
There is no exchange support anymore, so those options don't work. this includes the link that was posted from mobilityminded.com. I originally got this phone anticpating that evenif they removed the facebook integration, they would at least leave exchange support. Why remove something from the phone that could be a selling point for it?
2)bringing it to a Verizon Wireless store (Transfer machine not compatible)
I spent an HOUR in a verizon wireless store only to find out that their transfer machine does not support the KIN. The tech said that some other store might be able to do it, but when you call the store you can not speak to a person to verify whether their machine supports it. (I had all my contacts in backup assistant, so they should be able to move them to the kin from there at least!!!)
3) sim card ???? (the kin is CDMA, not sim card compatible)
Um, whoever suggested these obviously does NOT have a KIN or they would already know this.
4) Gmail (does not sync contacts)
Come on verizon wireless / microsoft why couldn't you at least have left HOTMAIL INTEGRATION!!!! then I would be able to sync my contacts ;(
To summarize you CAN NOT get contacts into this phone, except maybe to enter them manually. This sucks because overall I am pretty happy with the phone.

I spent 1.5 hours manually inputting my contacts...at least I got to go through them and get rid of quite a few I did not need any more..you really find out who you care about when you leave them out of your contact transfer because you are tired of typing...
