I can't figure out how to delete just one, single text message. Do you really have to delete the entire conversation with a person? Is there NO way to delete just one text instead of the entire archive????
When accessing the thread of messages go to the message in question that you want to delete highlight the individual message select menu and delete that message.
That is how it is supposed to work.. Ms_Shonta, how do you highlight the individual message? As of now no one seems to know how to delete individual messages from the KIN TWOM. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I agree, I can't seem to figure out how to delete an individual message. I think I'm giving up. This is the worst phone I've ever purchased, and it's being returned.
Steps to delete a message.

- From the Home screen, select Messages.
- Select a message.
- Select Delete.
- Select delete.
It won't let you select an individual message. You can only select threads.
Ms. Shonta, could you put in a word about the Kin phones, on behalf of all (most) of its owners/users? Its software/firmware indeed DOES have many of these issues that flaw many aspects of its functionality. The phones themselves are fantastic, aside from these numerous issues. I hope internally that Verizon can kick up enough dust to get its superiors/Microsoft to release updates, because this really is a wonderful phone. It would also make your responses to what seem as blatant, dumb questions, actually viable (if you haven't noticed, yes many of these questions are ridiculous when looking at any other phone..but the kin happens to have issues with them).
These are the major glaring firmware issues with the phone. At bare minimum, if these were fixed, i promise sales and reviews for this phone would greatly improve.
SO IN OTHER WORDS YOU CANT DO IT!! LOL NICE TRY DODGING THAT ONE MR. SHINSCRAPER!
Thanks for everyone's feedback on this one. Truth is, you CAN delete just one message from a KIN TWOm. To do so:
- Two-Finger Tap the screen to enter "Edit Mode" and show the "X's" on each message.
- Tap an "X" to delete an associated message.
- Two-Finger Tap the screen again to exit "Edit Mode."
Thanks,
Roy_B
except... you kind of... can't...
there is no way to delete one single message at a time. no matter what you do, no matter what buttons you press, the entire conversation will get deleted.
it would be nice if we did have the option to delete individual messages though. in the meanwhile it would also be nice if the right information gets disseminated among current/potential kin users. thanks.
