Microsoft Kin's death pinned on exec's "jealous" infighting

I found this very petty but fits in with human nature all round.

Still overall the kin is a nice feature phone

pretty revealing about what doomed the kin.

AND why they are unlikely to improve the firmware.

Also mentions how verizon sabotaged the phone by refusing to lower the price of the data plan.

These posts aren't quite 'news' (they're dated back in july), they are articles related to the original Kin phones, not the re-released m models (which were released late november). Whether microsoft continues its m models as quality feature phones as well as updates those, thats up for debate (and being kept secret on their end).

Ugh, could these devices have been plagued by any more problems? I think they're great phones, with better features than many others. They've just had to battle inept marketing, internal fighting, and pricey plans that didn't fit their capabilities or their targeted audience. It's just unfortunate how this all went down. Hopefully those who own them will appreciate them, instead of overspending on the latest and greatest just to keep up with their friends.
