After the recent 12B software update Backup Assistant does not work

First off I don't understand the point of both backup assistant and cloud on the same phone. Cloud backups your contacts so whats the point of backup assistant now? Especially since cloud came preloaded with this new update. Now for my problem. After the software update Backup assistant does not work. Every time I try to open it is says "unfortunately backup assistant + contacts has stopped" It was working fine before the update.

I'll be happy to help with you get your Backup Assistant working again, tskuligowski. Verizon Cloud and Backup Assistant are interchangeable and you don't need to use both. For most phones, only one is installed and you have the option of installing the other. If both were pre-installed on your phone, you only need to use one. Verizon Cloud is a newer application. Are you able to backup your contacts via Cloud? Please clear cache from Backup Assistant and Sync Service in your phone. http://vz.to/1atzeTr This will require you to setup the apps again, but the data is still saved online.
