Someone please help me figure out how to change the notification sound for events on my stock calendar widget. I have hearing problems and a very faint couple of beeps just doesn't cut it! I need a loud foghorn that blasts till I shut it off or something like that, seriously. Help Please!!

I thought that settings within the app controlled the widget notifications.

Other than using Zedge and or an app that increases volume through boosting levels, I'm not sure what else you can do other than set the Flash to illuminate within the Accessibility features. (volume boosting can harm the speaker though.)

Well, isn't there a way to choose a different sound like changing ringtones? That's more what I'm looking for. Thanks for helping.

My internet went out when I was talking with you about this issue this morning. I have searched every possible setting I could find and still have not found a way to change the calendar notification sound. I did what you said though and set up my camera flash to flicker slowly in relation to notifications. I guess that is as good as it gets for now. I see that I can set up the calendar to email me as a notification reminder. Maybe that will be the best workaround. Because then I can change and adjust the notification sounds for my email making it a calendar notification sound by proxy. Lots of work for a lazy guy like me! Hahaha

We don't want to see you working too hard to get the device settings the way you'd like, Khines5705. With the latest software on the G2, you can go into Calendar then select Menu (three verticle dots) followed by Settings. From there, select Event Notification Settings to enable the notification type, sound, and vibration.

JenniferH_VZW could you please provide just a little more detail to your instructions? When you say "go into your Calendar" are you referring to the calendar widget itself or is there a Calendar option within general phone settings that I'm not finding? Because from the Calendar itself there are no vertical dots to select Menu, only a gear icon. When that gear icon is selected, the options are extremely limited. There are no Event Notification Settings.

Try tapping the event itself. Tap the day and then the pencil. Works on Google Calendar.

Maybe you have a different version. I found the settings in my stock app.
