I have done a factory reset. I do not use Wifi, bluetooth, and I have removed apps. The only advice I received from Verizon was to not make phone calls, don't use wifi ( which in turns means I use more data) and to remove apps,( which confuses me because why else would I have a smartphone) > Has anyone found any solutions to the battery drain. Let's not start with the lag in sending text messages.

Stephiane,
Getting the most of your battery is definitely important! So I understand your concern.
When did this issue start? Have you update to the most recent software http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-87155/?
Run the phone in safe mode http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-87334/ and see if you notice an improvement. If you power cycle the phone does it help the battery life?
