Just got new Ford car with Sync radio and navigation and when using Revo with Bluetooth on phone calls with car work real good but when someone sends message I don't get it on the car or phone until I get away from car and it disconnects.
Owners manual for car says the phone has to support downloading text messages via Bluetooth so does anyone know if the Revolution has it or is there a way to make it work? Thanks
This is a two way communication protocol and the problem usually comes from unsupported Bluetooth radio stacks.. what year is your vehicle? If the vehicle is older than a couple of years the older technology has a tendency to experiance compatibility issues with newer hardware and software.

It is a new 2012 so it should be updated
Thank you Wildman for your response.
I love using my Bluetooth in the car and I can see how irritating it would be to not get messages while paired. One troubleshooting step I like to recommend is to unpair and re-pair the device and automobile and retest.
Depending on the car and the phone Bluetooth options do vary. Here's a link to Ford's bluetooth Sync site they have a phone compatibility chart, android step by step setup instructions and forums for help from the community.
Thank you
