I've noticed that the latest version of Google search doesn't show updates made to contacts in the contacts app. Downgrading google search fixes the problem and reinstalling Google Search updates reintroduces the problems. Very annoying. To duplicate just create a new, delete or change a contact in the contacts app and search for that contact in Google Search. This is on a VZW LG G2 with Stock 4.2.2.
