had the phone over a year and this just started happening. Whenever I make a call it either fails to dial or I get "there was an error in processing your call." Is this a bad sim card? Once in a while I am able to get a call through, and also when someone calls me it doesn't ring and just notifies me on the status bar that I missed a call from so and so.

My problems stemmed from a bad SIM (free at a corporate store) and Advanced Calling would screw up and I'd have dropped and missed calls, bad quality, or failure to dial. I disabled AC and all seems fine now.
I turned on the advanced calling option, which is pointless because no one else I talk to has it. But it would give me a weird buzzing sound. I turned it back off and the buzzing went away. So, to me, the advanced calling option is worthless right now.
