Thanks @ann154. I was actually on the phone with Customer Support (Advanced Tech Support) at the same time your message came in. They did indeed have to reset something on their end. I think it's working now! Smiley Happy

I cannot send picture messages either on my G2. Actually they havent sent since i got it in Feb but i just keep suffering along and trying to get to advanced tech support with no luck. No, i dont have wifi on, Yes i have mobile data on, yes i've taken the SIM card out, waited and reinserted. No, i dont use a 3rd party messaging app. No, i dont load games and keep apps to a minimum. Ive used Verizon since 1997 so i'm sold and i love the G2, best phone ever, but this multimedia messaging glitch has GOT to be fixed. We are all frustrated.

Hi!

I was able to get this resolvedquite quicklyonce I spoke to the right

person. Call customer service from another phone 1-800-922-0204, choose

tech support, and then ask to speak with someone in advanced tech support.

The fellow I spoke with in Advanced Tech Support had to reset some settings

on his end concerning how the cell towers communicate with my phone. Now it

seems to be working fine!

You are right though... It's a widespread problem--apparently affecting

multiple, multiple hardware, and multiple versions of Android OS's. In this

day and age MMS needs to be reliable. I can't expect my friends to remember

not to send a smiley with a message to me. And we shouldn't have to go

through all this trouble and have everyone call the company individually.

I hope you are able to get this resolved!

Let's get those messages flowing again maplover! Are you experiencing these difficulties in more than one area? What happens when you try to send a picture message? Do you see an error? Can you receive picture messages?

Chickadee983, I am curious to see how long this fix will last you.  Ihave had to factory reset my phone 2 times due to messaging problems .. it will work for a while then I am back to having the same problems .. Good luck.

you would think since we have to log into this forum that verizon would call us and offer a solution.. instead of us having to call them and wait on hold..

It is not a permanent fix. Can not receive MMS or even attach a picture to text a message. This a screen shot of the pop. This is happening on all carriers!

Jonathan,

I attach a gallery image to a text message, or start in the gallery and

share an image via messaging. When i do this it automatically 'resizes'

image. My G2 is set to 1mb size for capturing images.

Either way the image resizes, attaches and then will not send. The error in

the messaging app is always '*message delivery failed, would you like to

retry now, retry later*? The error in the gallery share is *message exceeds

size limit*.

Nor can I receive any images. This has been constant since February 2014

which is when i got the G2.

No problems with pix messaging prior with the Revolution, or the ENV3 or

ENV.

well here we go again .. not even a week after my 3rd factory reset .. can not send or receive MMS messages.. guess I will just have to find another way to send them until a fix is made.. I wonder if anone who said they were being sent a new phone is having the same problems..

I use something called Whatsapp with members of my family. It is not a SMS/MMS program, but it works well. I think it costs a nominal fee. It is available on the iPhone.

However, in another thread, someone is claiming that Textra set to be their default texting app is working for them.

Maybe ChompSMS or other texting app might be worth a try.

danicori79 We want to fix your MMS problems once and for all. We understand that some LG G2 users have had the same issue. However, we have also found that some users have had success with sending and receving MMS after troubleshooting. Since each scenarion could have a different outcome, we ask that you try placing your device in Safe Mode and then try and send MMS http://vz.to/1gcEUJX Also, go to settings, app manager, select the all tab and scroll to text messaging and choose clear cache and force stop.
