Is there another way to unlock my phone when I cannot enter the pin number?

The bottom part of my screen is cracked and I cannot enter the pin number to unlock my phone and was wondering if anyone knew of another way to possibly unlock it? Thanks!

After x-number failed attempts to unlock on my G2, I am asked for my gmail account info to log in, otherwise the phone factory resets.  If you can get into the phone, if the G2 asks for that Google info, you can change the code.  There used to be a way to use Android Device Manager from your Google account Dashboard to reset the lock, but I believe that method has been discontinued.
