Are you Stateside? It is possible that the update will not occur unless you are in a country of regular service by Verizon. Some say you can use WiFi and an active Verizon account. You can also try the Software Update Assistant or factory reset your phone and try from scratch.

my g2 software version is 4.2.2 kitkat vs98027a it is not updating to lollipop'when i am updating mobile give us message that we are not able to download this update go to setting and check update why this is not able to download this update

Mehmood, we absolutely want your phone to have the latest software available. You indicated that you try this download from the phone by going to the settings, system updates and the check for update. Do you actually see that software is available when you take these steps? Or do you see that the software is up to date message? If you show that new software is available and are then receiving an error when trying to download this, are you in the states currently? Is the phone line active on your Verizon Wireless account? Are you connected to wi-fi when trying to run this update?
