New SIM card question

I have a G2 without a SIM card in it currently. Can i just walk into a Verizon store and ask for a new SIM card, then activate that phone and add it to my plan right then are there? If so, how much does a SIM card cost?

What is wrong with your SIM?  It is free to walk into a CORPORATE store and get one.  Other non-corporate stores may charge up to $25.  It is also free to order one for delivery online.

Can we assume your G2 does not currently have service with Verizon? and secondly - is it a Verizon branded phone?
