I am currently having the same problem. I just got my LG G2 from Fedex, and I shut off imessage, shut off my original iphone, and now I'm burning through all of my data as my phone now tries to activate. It has the sim card it came pre-installed with, and I've been trying to activate it for over an hour, and I'm stuck in no-phone limbo while I wait. I have to be at work in less than an hour and I was assured by a Verizon rep that this would only take five minutes. How do I make this work now!?

I always stop the setup wizard and go to settings and disable mobile network in favor of wifi with an initial setup.
