Voicemail notification, but no voicemail?

I've had the voicemail notification up for 3 days, and I don't have a voicemail. I've called voicemail and checked multiple times, listened to my old saved messages to be sure. I've turned my phone off and on a few times, and have taken out the battery a couple times. Help!!
