I used the instructions on this link LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) | LG G2 | XDA Forums that worked perfectly. The perfectly functional Kit Kat 4.4.2 is back. The problem now is being prompted continuously to upgrade!

I surely hope people don't come here looking for answers when they try this sort of thing, since it violates warranty and community TOS. That link has a lot of potential to really mess up someone's day and wallet.

Just because one person has had luck with this procedure it is definitely not recommended! Even the most tech savvy individuals have difficulty doing this and advise others not to do it. You run the risk of voiding your warranty and of "bricking" your phone.
Anyone considering doing this, consider yourself warned!
