I just got my LG G2 and cannot set up my @msn account for email. Verizon says it's msn's fault and msn says its verizon fault...any help?

Did you manually input the settings?

I tried every way possible. Spent a long time on the phone with Verizon support trying every way possible. They finally told me to contact MSN.

You set it up as exchange?

I have had good luck with using the Exchange settings for a MSN email address.

Server m.hotmail.com

SSL connection ON

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Microsft changing servers roughly about 7 times since the introduction of MSN does it.

Sorry I am coming into this late. I have a question.

When you refer to MSN mail do you mean hotmail? Outlook mail?

If you do mean either or, you need to download the Outlook Mail app from the Google Play Store. It will accept login from MSN, Hotmail or Outlook mail programs.

The app that is native to the device is in my opinion totally useless. The downloaded stand alone app works great.

You just log in with your @hotmail or @outlook or @msn email name and enter your password.

It works great.

Good Luck

Better late than never!

Thanks, I downloaded the Outlook app and is works great.

Then I got an email from Verizon saying they are dropping the email app that comes with the phones. I would have thought the tech support person I spent so much time with would have known about all this.

I do have one other question. Is there a way to have the outlook icon show me that I have new messages? I do get the audible notice, but when I wake up the phone there is no indication of email.

In your app settings there are tones and vibrations to alert you to new mail. I use the loudest one they haveSmiley Happy

Thanks, I have the tones working but with my old phone it would show the number of emails and the number of text messages. With this you have to guess to see if it is an email or a text.

I have set a gong sound for my texts and a bell sound for the apps mail. They both drive me crazy all day long
