for the first time since I got my phone it actually died in the middle of the day.
You probably need to do a factory reset, a lot of folks benefit from one when they have battery drain issues. Or you'll just need to monitor your background applications and turn on a power saving feature.
Have you always had trouble with the fast discharge or is this a one time thing that just happened today?
