RobEMc,

That would certainly be frustrating. Let's make sure we get this solved for you. Do your other apps all work on wi-fi? Have you made sure your Facebook app is up to date? What happens when you try to access Facebook while on wi-fi?

Any app that uses FB to login is impacted by this issue. As previously noted, the error message I receive in the FB app when logged onto WiFi is "Error loading New Feed. Tap to Retry"

I can put the phone into Airplane Mode and turn WiFi back on and then FB and the apps appear to work correctly. This is not a viable option.

With the wifi problem, it's kinda sad that I have to turn off wifi at home and use 4G to access the internet. I have to pay more attention of data usage!

I'm in the same boat. I use Wifi at home to connect with family that is serving overseas that cannot text or call. We skype and messenger.

Now I can't do that without data on, which we obviously can't leave on all day to wait for a reply.

Very disheartening. Hope everyone's gets fixed very soon.

This----------------------------------------------------------------------->   "Verizon wants to market smartphones and they try to be the leader, but when something such as this happens they duck behind excuse after excuse.  They do not want to take ownership nor do they want to do anything more than take our money.  As I told a Verizon supervisor already...They need to get out of the smartphone market if they are going to treat their customers this way and act like a five year old and blame another company.  Yes, Google made a broken update.  Yes, LG made a decision to push the update to the devices.  But, Verizon also stupidly allowed the update to go out because they apparently do not understand the process nor could they take 5 seconds to do a web search of all the issues reported months ago.  I pay Verizon monthly to be their customer directly....I am only a Google and LG customer indirectly.  If they only care about "phone" services then why do I have to pay the smartphone price and have to pay for data."

What really gets me is when you go into your local store. They want to play dumb and blame it on Google and everyone else. While this can be seen as an Android update. Regardless it is their service and product i pay for. Then when you start to show that you are actually knowledgeable and know what your talking about they start blaming it on you or your equipment. Nothing is their fault. I have been with Verizon for almost 15 years and it seems they are becoming more and more less customer satisfaction oriented. Whenever I go into the stores I feel more like I am walking into a car dealership. Throw all the numbers at you. Edge up. Edge up. Pay for a phone just to return it almost two years so you can get a new one. I really was just going to the store to find out if they had any info on a fix. Or at the very least offer to flash my phone back to 4.4.2.  When the issues did not exist. But alas neither happened. I know its not a hardware issue. But really telling a long time loyal paying customer to suck it up and wait till the fix comes out.

Yesterday, my G3 seems to be back to normal when using wifi at home! I haven't received any notice from Verizon nor LG of any fixes. Perhaps they fixed the problem(s) without notifying the users. Hope all of you have the problems resolved!

Hi Mkwan. Just out of curiosity. Do you remember what was the last thing you tried with your phone before getting wifi back?

I've restarted the phone about 3 or 4 days ago. Didn't have any improvement

after restarting. The Wifi just suddenly working yesterday.

Since updating my LG3 to Lollipop I have spent hours with Verizon technical support attempting to resolve Bluetooth issues to no avail.I am experiencing cutting out (choppiness) when streaming music through Google Play and Pandora, making them unusable. I have tried Safe mode, hard factory reset, phone replacement, clearing (and re-clearing) caches, un-pairing and re-pairing, etc. Verizon has been unable to correct the issue other than indicating a patch should be forthcoming, when (?) nobody knows.

How can a companies the size of Verizon and Google release the update without thoroughly testing it, this is the biggest fiasco since New Coke!
