Bought phone Nov 12, [verizon store 30 miles from home] got home cannot call but can use text, nobody can call me.

Went back to store who called support but no help from support. Found out I could use phone 1/2 mile from my house. I live on US/Canada border and there is a Canadian cell tower 1/4 mile from my house. I had a Iphone 5 till I got this and never had a problem. I have the US-Canada plan.
