I might try that myself, I always uninstall from either a drag and drop to the notification bar from the app drawer or from the app manager.

Besides what Tikibar1 suggested. I go through all my frequently used apps and clear the cache that way. Yes, it may be tedious. Then again i don't have a whole bunch of apps to go through. That's what i did before installing lollipop.

Yeah, except on any given day, I open about 20 different apps.

I just wanted to do this one thing that a lot of people seem to suggest helps greatly. It didn't. Last night my phone was in standby and it was consistently warm. It got hotter when I used it and the battery was dead in less than 4 hours. I mean, I have 2 batteries because I got the free one when LG had the promotion but I have always made it to 6pm on one and that was with watching YouTube and Netflix videos. Now, I am luck to make it to 3 on one and then to 5 on the second.

CCleaner, like going into settings-storage-tap cache, will do the same thing in a snap.

Doesn't sound like storage is your issue.  Sounds more like wakelocks and kernel issues.

However, I get no information from Wakelock Detector or Watchdog. I also have System Monitor and at times the widget shows that as much as 94% CPU is being used and tapping to stop processes doesn't help. I did a restore and set it up as new. No restore from Google or anything. I know a lot has to do with the Lollipop update and I am anxiously waiting a fix. I was just wondering if clearing the cache like a lot of people said would help.
