Exceeded Verizon Cloud storage

I recently signed a new 2 year contract and switched from an iphone to the LG G3. I have had nothing but frustration getting the device to work correctly, specifically with the bluetooth, which would drop calls and change pitch when I try to stream music. I also get lots of intermittent static when I try to make a phone call. I have been trying to get assistance from tech support and have traveled through multiple layers of that team with an eventual call with LG, who kicked the issue back to Verizon. Almost 2 months later, I finally had a representative get to "play hero" and offer to replace the new phone. The replacement arrived today and I am expected to transfer the data from my old device to the new one - this was a breeze with the iphone as you just plugged in and synced with itunes. It seems I have exceeded the free 5 GB of storage available on Verizon Cloud, so I called Verizon tech support to find out what I can do to swap the devices. The tech told me the only thing he could do was sell me a larger storage plan. I asked if I could go to the store and have it swapped and I was told that the store could not transfer everything. I am aghast that I cannot get any assistance switching from a defective 3 month old device to the replacement without paying Verizon to be able to do it. The store can't help and tech support can't help. I'm on my own here and with 5 years of non-issues with this company I just can't believe the nonsense I have endured the last couple of months.

If anyone has any suggestions how to backup an LG G3 when you are exceeding cloud storage I'd really appreciate your suggestions. I suppose I only have a couple of days before I get harassed about sending one of the phones back and another 1 hour plus phone call with Verizon to talk to someone who can't help me will send me over the edge.

online under your SUPPORT tab for your services... there is an area where you can upload to Cloud... Also.. if you are closed to one of the retail stores.. take the phone is and have them double check it and make sure everything is connected right and your phone is not out of sync with the towers..

why not go onto myverizon, up your storage to 25 gig, should only cost like 3 bucks, and then after youve transferred the content, go back to my verizon and remove the feature? I would think they should prorate the 3 bucks for one day, so it would be like ten cents. Just a thought.

Verizon disabled PC software on the LG G2/G3.

Plug the phones into a PC via USB. Drag and Drop, its that simple.

That would be the easiest for local storage and you could just as easily take the PC files and drag and drop to an online cloud folder instead of tying up your phone during the upload process.

You could also use an app such as ES File Explorer to transfer data via wifi to your home computer.

I back up my photos, docs, music to my computer, back up my contacts to VZ cloud, and my apps to google play, then I pull it all back down in the order of google, cloud, computer. It also makes sure a backup of my media is on my computer in case my phone is stolen, which means there is no replacing it all. I know its tedious but it works for me.
