You should already have mobile hotspot. It doesn't increase your monthly data amount.

The mobile hotspot will not help you. It still uses the same data pool and will probably use even more than you do now. paying $20 does not get you any more data.

Does Verizon have a plan where you buy 2GB for 10.00 maybe 15.00?

You can only bump up your current plan to another existing plan which is 15GB up to 20GB or do what Weth said, which is basically what you're asking. Pay the overage fees of what seems to be $15 for every 1Gb.

At the lower gigabyte levels yes but as you get abobe 10 GB plan spread out. At your current level of data there is no $10 option for two additional gigabytes. It's either $40 for 5 GB for $15 for one gigabyte as I stated above

If you did Lollipop update it breaks your WiFi connections
Call tech support tell them that, argue and escalalate they will wave additional fees.
