Have tried factory reset, hard reset, safe mode all with no luck. I see a lot of fellow G3 users having issues since this weeks Marshmallow update. Any news on how to get the device functional? No matter what, when phone powers up I instantly get an alert saying "Unfortunately, LG Keyboard stopped working" I have tried all the tricks tech support gave and haven't had any new advice given. What is the next step, I can't use a touchscreen phone when the keyboard is failing.

Thanks, I did that days ago. Replacement phone in the mail, should be here
Friday. Two weeks of paying for a data plan I couldn't use, but that's how
it goes i guess.

G3fan-
We want your phone to work flawlessly specially after a major update. I am saddened to learn it is giving you this error message. May I ask if the factory reset has been completed without a restore of your apps or did it automatically restore after the reset? Does the phone have any liquid or physical damage? Please keep us posted.

I did the factory reset and when it powered up it automatically went
through the 224 apps that are factory to the device. I even tried to remove
the sim card and do a factory reset and it still immediately comes up with
the LG keyboard not working alert. No liquid or physical damage as the
phone is babied and mint. I am bummed as i removed my invisi-shield (screen
protector) to rule out any possible issues with that. So that is $25 down
the drain. Do i just need to have a factory replacement? I am seeing a lot
of folks on the message boards with issues from the update last week that
aren't getting resolved..Please tell me what's next as a I have a smart
phone that can only function as a dumb phone that can receive texts but not
send them and can make calls. I can't type, search or enter data.

G3fan, thanks for trying the factory reset. Lets continue digging for a resolve here. Have you had any trouble with typing in a google search or is it just texts that bring up this error? Do you have the Verzin Message + application?

I can't type anywhere in the device. Since the factory reset I can't even
re load google and facebook accounts because that would require typing.
Can't send a text, search for apps to install, nothing. Every time I touch
the screen, the notification that the keyboard has stopped pops up. When I
click in a search bar, the keyboard (alphabet) doesn't even come up. I am
held hostage in this thing. What next??? Just turning the phone on brings
up the error. Clicking on the remote control icon brings up the error.
Swiping from screen to screen brings up the error.

Oh goodness G3fan, I can certainly understand your frustrations with this. I am truly sorry that this has all happened. What I would recommend doing at this time is bring your device into a store location to have them review the device for you.
