LG G3 charging port

I have had my LG G3 for 5 days and the charging port has completely stopped working! Has anyone else had this problem? I read that it is a defect I just hope I don't have to pay for this problem to be fixed

I am having an issue with my charging port.  Last night I plugged my phone in to the charger that came with the phone and got an error message that the phone stopped charging because the charger could cause damage to the phone.  It said to plug the phone in to the charger that came with the phone, but I had it plugged in to the charger that came with the phone.  Does my phone need to be replaced or can I try a different charger?

If you've done this already then please dismiss my post.

Turn your phone off. Remove the battery. Wait at least one minute. Then put the battery back in. Then see if the battery is charging.

It's important that your device works and correctly Mobyn. Allow us to get to the bottom of your charging concerns. Did you use the charger that came with the phone out of the box when you received this error message? Have you installed any new applications to the device? Just to clarify, do you also have the LG G3?

I was using the charger that came with the phone out of the box when I got the error message.  I have used the charger that came with my husbands phone and a charger bought from amazon since then and they have worked.  I do have the LG G3 and I have installed new apps, but not on the day that the error message came up.  Is there a reason a new app would affect the charging port?

Thank you for all the information you have provided us Mobyn. Are you still having the issue with the error message displaying on the phone? Do you only get the error message when plugging in your charger. Installing third party applications on your device may not always be compatible with your device and at times can cause software issues. Can you remove the application and then test the charger? Keep us updated.
