Following the update my phone says that the SIM card is not Verizon. I went to a Verizon store to get help, but couldn't because their system was down nation wide. I will be calling Verizon to get reimbursed for the two weeks that my phone has not even been able to make a call. This is ridiculous. Is there any help out there?

As you know, the update is deisgned to help the phone work better for you, Swood2500. We regret to see there is an issue with your G3, but we want to get to the bottom of this. Since the update, have you been able to remove/reisnert the SIM card or have you tried a new SIM card to see what happens?
