We're back with Verizon after being gone for 4 years. We've got new phones, they're LG G8 thinQ - I'm trying to find out how to "speak to text" - I know I can record text messages, but I don't want to do that. With our old phones we were able to do that. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions???

There should be a microphone icon on your keyboard  
On my keyboard I long press on the , to activate speech to text.

The LG G8 is a great device that can still do the speech to text function but the settings may have shifted a bit from your previous phone. Does it show the microphone on your keyboard when typing a message?

My speach to text records the message. I want it to write the text. How do I do that?
