CAN I RENAME AN UNKNOWN DEVICE

Can I rename UNKNOWN DEVICES on the ASKNCQ1338FA gateway.

I have about 3 or 4 unknown devices in my DEVICE LIST.

I have seen various reports on the internet that say that a device can be renamed directly from the DEVICE LIST, but I cannot find a way to do that.?.

Thank You for the information.  I guess the real question is, Do I actually need to  go through the settings of my router OR can I rename my devices using the My Verizon Mobile App.  I am assuming that I will have to do this through my router, Because as I pointed out in my original message, I have seen various posts on the internet  that say that devices  can be renamed through the My Verizon App I have tried to do that, but it does not seem like it can be done. Based on that, it appears to me that I am going to have to do this through my router.  I just need to figure out where to look in thee manual.  I already have a copy of the manual on my computer.

todd-dj-reese, there's a lot of into in the manual. Page 53 has the info you need for renaming the device. Here's a link to the manual so you don't have to go looking for it: https://scache.vzw.com/dam/support/pdf/user_guide/Verizon-Internet-Gateway-User-Guide-2023.pdf

I think I have finally resolved this issue.  The instructions that You outlined for me to follow in the manual were not getting me anywhere.  I wound up going to the Verizon website and renaming the device through the website.  After I did that I went back to the Admin Portal to see if the device that I renamed had been renamed, and it was renamed which is exactly what I wanted.  Well thanks for your help, I guess You could say that You led me down another path when the first things that I was trying did not work.  Thanks again.
