I purchased 2 new devices from Verizon online on October 10th. On October 13th the devices arrived and would not activate properly so I had to take them into a Verizon store and wait there for 4 hours while they tried to activate. When we ordered the devices the website stated:
"Add a smartphone(retail value over $699.99) with monthly device payments to your cart, then activate on a new smartphone line of service with select Verizon Unlimited plans. You'll get a $200 Verizon gift card per switched line."
"After checkout, redeem your reward via your Notifications on the My Verizon app or vzw.com/myverizon. Your $200 Verizon gift card will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt of claim to the submitted email address."
Weeks went by and I never received a notification in the app or an email with a code to redeem. I called customer service on November 30th and after being passed around a few times they gave me a promo code to use - but since the promo had ended - the website said it was invalid and could not be redeemed. I talked to multiple other people who stated that since the code was expire there was nothing further they could do. I finally talked to someone who said they escalated my claim and I would receive information via email within 7-10 days on how to get my two $200 gift cards that were promised to me (and the only reason that we switched carriers at that specific time). 10 days came and went and I received nothing from Verizon.
I have submitted multiple support claims online, all who said that they can't do anything and I need to speak with the Rebate Center. They transferred me to the rebate center who said they had to transfer me to the rebate center (hmm... I thought I was already talking to the rebate center?) who then transferred to the "rebate center" for the third time. Not sure if these particular individuals didn't know what to do so they just kept passing me around. The last person said she couldn't see all the details of my account but could see that the rebates had not been redeemed. We waited on the phone for almost an hour while she was trying to get ahold of her "support team" before she said I needed to speak with customer service. Are you kidding me? I have talked to every department and not one has done anything helpful. I have spent 10+ hours on the phone, texting, messaging online trying to solve this issue.
Can someone please just tell me how to receive the two $200 Verizon gift cards that I qualified for over two months ago and still have not seen? This is clearly an issue that others are having as well based on the community forum. If this isn't resolved I will be contacting the BBB.

My family decided at the end of December 2022, to check out the phone deals to see about switching our 4 lines to Verizon, the store at 32nd and Glendale in Phoenix, said we would be able to upgrade all 4 lines and get 4 x $200 debit cards to switch over. They said it would take 60 to 90 days to receive the cards, so by the end of March we started calling and texting the manager who said they were working on a solution and would get to the bottom of this, to add insult to injury the sales person said he would bundle, chargers, screens etc with the phones which at the end the “bundle” cost me $600, then in January, I had to pay off $1000 for 2 T-Mobile phones so we are already upside down by $1600 dollars, so we’re looking forward to the promised $800 in gift cards. On top of all this, I was told put down a credit card and my lines would be $250/month, but the every bill came I at over $300 and I was told only the Verizon credit card could be used. Sounds like a monopoly. Lastly I went to Europe for a week and paid for a “service” plan my phone and internet was in LTE and when I tried to use Google maps, I got nothing. I was with T-Mobile for over 10 years and never had these kinds of problems. Has anyone files with the better business bureau or with the attorney general for Az for fraud.?
They have the money to pay celebrities in their commercials while they steal from customers who pay every month. Unbelievable

Please be on the lookout for a private note from us, so that we can better assist.

I also never received my $200 rebate for 2 of the phones I switched over from T-Mobile. I've called Verizon customer service countless times and absolutely no one has been able to resolve the issue and they have all told me that I should receive the gift card via email in 24 hours but that never happens. Verizon customer service doesn't even compare to either AT&T or T-Mobile. I honestly regret switching carriers.

We switched to Verizon in June and I applied for the rebate for 3 of our 4 lines on July 11 and we still have not received anything. It's so strange that I received a notification saying that they were emailed but there is NOTHING in our email accounts. My husband went up to the Verizon store today and they admitted that the email address was WRONG even though I've been receiving ALL other Verizon emails to the correct address.
The notification is now BLANK and there's no record ANYWHERE of my applying for the $600 in rebates promised to us. THIS was the main reason we decided to switch to Verizon.
Can ANYONE tell me how to actually receive the rebates? After Aug 10 the offer is not valid SO it's pretty coincidental that they're taking their time in fixing this very strange email address correction EVEN THOUGH I'm receiving ALL other Verizon emails.
HELP!
Sincerely,
VERY UNHAPPY AND WILLING TO SWITCH CUSTOMER

So I switched to Verizon in June. Set the account up through my app. The auto pay, discount for my wife and applied for the $200 gift car rebate since I qualified by switching 3 phone lines. In my app found the rebate tab and it shows my three lines eligible for the rebate. Had to click each line and submitted the rebate request. Never got an email which I thought was odd since every other time I did something within the app it sent me an email confirmation. Went back into the app a couple days later only to find the rebate tab was no where to be seen. Waited over 10weeks and never received anything so called on Aug 3. Spent over hour on the phone. Was sent an email confirmation twice by the customer service rep as first one would not work. It was an email confirmation and it says “ once I confirm it will continue the submission process”. Agent told me he has escalated my rebate submission and confirmed it with the rebate center and I would receive email in 7-10 days. 3 1/2 weeks later had received nothing. Call on Aug 28th and filled in new customer service rep. Was on phone for 45 minutes only to be disconnected while waiting 10 minutes to be transferred to rebate center. Called the rebate center number rep and given me and asked to speak to a supervisor (Anthony). Once again go through entire story. Again am told that they have completed a report and they have escalated complaint once again and now would receive email within 72 hours. 90 hours later on September 1st I call again and again have to repeat all stories and phone calls cause I guess they don’t note anything in our account so that way they don’t have to admit anything about was was said and done on previous calls. 20 minutes into this call I suddenly get transferred with no notification to rebate center. Guess what. Yeah I have to repeat entire story to him he has no idea what I am calling about. Every time these problem all confirm my email address which has been same since day one with my account and the app. But yet no one can find the submission from June or Aug 3 or Aug 28! Once again my phone call suddenly drops and it’s like I have literally just called in and I have to go through the prompts I get Adrian on the phone and yes have to explain the entire story confirm my name phone number and email for third time. She was great and kept coming back on line. After almost hour on phone and while on hold with her my phone starts ringing and it shows it’s Verizon. As it was riinging my line drops and line I was on hold with acts as though it dropped again and I had just called in so switch to other line to find it’s Adrian and her line had dropped me. She claims it’s has all been filed and once again escalated and I wound receive email confirmation within 72 hours. I was finally given a reference #*****. First time I was offered this! Let’s see what happens. Was ATT customer for almost 30 years and never had customer service issues or issues it getting rebates or anything they offered. My experience in first two months has not been great with Verizon.
another issues I had corrected on Aug 3 phone call was the credit for the monthly fee for the phones I was initially charged and told it would come off as a credit in second bill. Well when looking at my second bill on my app it was no where to be seen so had to call to get the credit applied on 3rd bill. Pretty sure had I not called this would not have been credited. They hope you just don’t realize and they get to keep the money.
way too many stories on here of people not getting their rebates. Do the right thing Verizon!

I have the same issue. I got 4 rebates, each with $200 and verizon never send the gift card. I has been calling for over 3 months . Every time I call, I have to wait 48 hours before I can call again. It take 48 hours to send an instant email. Finally they emailed me the gift card but they sent the fake gift card with zero balance on it. I start to give up hope now as they would not honor their commitment. Is there a website or complain that I can make? I dont think Verizon will send with their games. Looking to port out and take my loss as I am very sick of verizon sca.m

Hi Peter,
thanks for your help. I’ve checked my balance via
https://www.verizon.com/od/products/gift-card-balance/#/
it is the website provided by the email when they’ve sent with the gift cards. I’ve also tried to apply this gift card via Verizon app to pay and it declined due to zero balance. I opened a case with verizon supported but they said I have to wait for 7-10 days before someone can look at this.
From the rebate center, I called in every 48 hours
From the support, every 7-10 days as the routine. I am not sure why it is so difficult
Hope that you can help sir. Many thanks in advance

Same, my girlfriend just got hers. I was told we would both get one, but she couldn’t sign me up for one and I couldn’t sign up for one either. I never got an email saying I had one or to activate one. Wondering if I’m ever gonna get my rebate or not, the lady at Verizon said we would both get one so that’s another reason why I decided to switch when I did.

I thought it was just me. I receive error messages and messages saying I have no rebates available. Then I’m told I never submitted it. Then it said it will be processed in December. This is ridiculous. I switched my phone company because this seemed like a good incentive only to be screwed over in the end.
