Can we get someone from Verizon to answer the question of support. The specs for the phone show a lot of network support including LTE & W-CDMA. I don't have the IEMI for a phone not purchased yet.

It's not on the list, and the only official answer you will get is "check the IMEI" or "check the list" and the ROG 2 isn't there.

It should work, but if Verizon chooses to exclude it, you buy at your own risk.
Or just switch to AT&T. They support it.
There seems to be an answer. make it CDMA-less device for data only, then use Google Voice for calls and texting

Actually it brings up an interesting topic, if a phone is not VoLTE capable, will carriers allow them on tablet lines?
Non-VoLTE devices are unable to be activated on any type of lines, as they are not compatible with the network.

The fact Verizon discontinues support after 3 years of a phone launch is disconcerting, as a lot of these phone are around $1,000. The second fact that this phone is superior for battery life, gaming and multi-media use than any other phone you offer means you are not thinking of customers and providing the best experience for the money or where money is no object. The ONLY reason this phone isn't supported is because Asus didn't pay you for it, because clearly it has the tech in it for it to work. It's the same reason the Google pixel is no longer supported, more money. We are used to Apple telling their customers to f off and discontinuing support of perfectly good products, iPad 2 anyone?, but I hadn't expected this from Verizon tbh.

You mean manufacturers. Each manufacturer agrees to at least two operating system updates when they release the phone. Some phones that have been very popular have gone far beyond that. The LG G3 for example was an extremely popular phone and received updates for several years. On the other end of the scale was the Amazon fire phone which was so bad that it was discontinued as soon as Amazon possibly could. Verizon/AT&T/Sprint/T-mobile are not responsible for those updates.

I don't think anyone is disputing it's a great phone. The battery life alone puts it at the top of a lot of android lovers lists. However it all boils down to Asus paying to get Verizon certified.
Love how they didn’t respond after that one lol honestly been waiting for this phone and I might switch to get it yet in other words if I switch I’ll have a better phone and won’t be paying $400 bucks for service that isn’t what it used to be anymore
