Free echo dot promotion.....but no echo dot

I tried to claim a promotion for a free echo dot when I signed up for 5G@home internet service.
I clicked the claim offer button was taken to a screen which said I could not claim until 3/23. I assumed this was because my 30 day money back return of 5G@home would expire.
Now - I can not find any way to claim this offer. I have chatted with 3 different "service" agent who have only run me in circles, having me explain and re-explain the situation. Yesterday an agent had me drive to a Verizon store to purchase a new echo dot and then told me they would refund it on my account. I drove the 25 minutes to the Verizon store to purchase one and was told they do not have any in stock. Really a huge waste of time. I am on 2+ hours of trying to claim a free echo dot.....ridiculous.
Today another agent told me to drive to the store to see what my options are. Why would someone at the store be able to help me but a person specializing in support NOT be able to help me? Frustrating.
Looks like others on this community board has faced similar issues and gotten the run around. Why break promises Verizon?

I am having the same issue. they are telling me the offer is expired. why was I presented the offer in the first place if it was going to be expired before I could redeem it.

Maybe they are afraid of us asking Alexa to find a better wireless provider? 🙂
