I currently have a 25 cents a minute plan which i just renewed with a balance of over $200....nor I need to change phones, and cannot keep the same plan on the new phone.....will I keep my current balance to pay for the new plan?

yes , you can keep your balance of $200 because it will still be on the same account. in any case you change your phone, only the device and the plan will be change.
