$200 Gift Card Supposed to Arrive within 30 days of service - still not received

During online sign up for mobile service and a new phone, I was prompted that if I checked out now, I would receive a $200 VISA Gift Card. I elected to move forward and sign with Verizon because of this promotion.

I never received a gift card so I contacted customer service via chat. I was informed that I needed to have service for 30 days before receiving the gift card and that upon the 30 days of service being complete, I would receive an email with steps on how to retrieve the gift card.

It is now 41 days later and still no email or way to receive this gift card.

I have seen this same issue all across the internet. It appears that it was a tricky move by Verizon - does anyone else have experience on actually receiving the gift card?  This was one of the reasons I went with Verizon as I knew the gift card would help to defray some of the monthly costs.

Welcome to the Verizon network, I'm so sorry to hear that switching carriers has not been the expereince you were expecting and deserve. Let's see about getting things on track. Have you received an email that it's time to redeem your card? Does your order reflect the $200 gift card promotion?

Hi Melissa,

No I have not received the email yet. I was expecting it within the last week or so but nothing has come through.  I suspect that my order reflects the gift card promotion as the person I spoke to via the "chat" option on Verizon website said that I should be receiving the email. Tk you.
