Hello everyone. I made a huge mistake by switching to Verizon Wireless. Here is my story. I was with metro pcs and wanted a better wireless company so we did some searching and found that Verizon had good promotions going on. So we switched and we’re told we would get a $200 rebate per number we brought over from the other carrier. So we submitted for the rebate and got confirmation on July 15th that the rebate had been sent to my email. So after not receiving it for a couple days I call and they tell me they will resend it. Then after a couple more days say ok we will send it again but do you have another email to send it to? So I give them my other email and they send it again still receive nothing And then finally on July 23rd I receive the email and go to check the balance of my gift car and it says $0.00 and so I call to ask why it says that and was told I have to wait 48 hours to receive the funds. Well I receive the other rebate on the 24th for the other line and same thing $0.00 balance. After two days I call the customer service department and they call the rebate center and come back and tell me that it was redeemed on July 21st. Mind you I didn’t receive the email till the 23rd. So they ask if anyone else has access to my email account and come to the conclusion they will submit my account for two $200 credits and it should be applied within 3 days. Well now my service is shut off and they want me to pay $600 to turn it back on and have no idea when the credit will be applied or even if it will be. So now I have no service and will probably have to go with another provider and get a new number all while I’m trying to get my kids ready for back to school.

Update! To above Brittanie091 post. So Colin the agent who replied graciously finally got the credit applied to my account. However because they had already suspended my account and placed it in this neverpay status which was only because I wasn’t able to use the rebate that was promised before they turned off the services. So now I have to pay the remaining balance in order to have services returned. This conclusion only has been made after making 5 calls to Verizon and speaking with the financial department and billing and having two agents promising service restoration and having me have to rearrange my work day now in order to get this resolved. I was also told to head to the store where I started my services and talk to them and they should be able to help with some fees that were added. Thank you to the representatives that helped. I have a feeling I won’t be with Verizon long after this.

So I got my phone service back on today after 8 calls to them and a trip to the Verizon Wireless store. I paid the balance on my account and after 3 calls and waiting on hold for 30-40 mins each time they finally restored my service then when I look at my account the balance went from $0.00 to $40.00 like huh? It’s like they charge me every time they had to help me. Verizon is very shady and I have no idea what will happen next.
