THIS POST IS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING CHALLENGES ACCESSING THEIR VERIZON CELL PHONE SWITCHER REBATES.
PLEASE NOTE: None of the below is guaranteed to get you the rebate but might save you countless hours and frustration. I hope this helps.
OK, NOW ONTO THE TIPS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR REBATE…
The information below is based on:
1) If you are in a physical Verizon store; and
2) If you are submitting after leaving the store.
IF YOU ARE IN A VERIZON STORE:
- First of all, confirm that they are actually a participating store in the rebate. Once you have confirmed this, have them print out the eligibility requirements to receive the rebate and which one(s) you qualify for based on the type of phone and plan you purchased. If you are somewhere other than an actual Verizon store, odds are the promised rebate will be invalid.
- Have the salesperson submit the rebate in the store on their computer for you as soon as you complete your purchase. Make sure they submit your information properly (see steps below under “submitting after leaving the store”).
- Check your email to confirm the rebate was submitted. You should get an email immediately with a confirmation number. SAVE THESE EMAILS AND TRACKING NUMBERS. They will ask for your tracking numbers when you call or message them.
IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING AFTER LEAVING THE STORE:
- You have 60 days from the date of purchase to submit for your rebate. Do this as soon as you get home.
- The store will tell you that you will receive an email or coupon code or that your receipt will give you the details on how to submit, but this did not happen for me and others.
TO SUBMIT, GO TO THIS LINK: http://vzw.com/rebate
- You will need to enter a code based on the phone and plan you purchased (more on codes below). This is only for lines your transferred (aka ported) from another company. If you started a new line (meaning you did not transfer from another company), it will NOT be eligible for this switcher rebate.
- If you had a Verizon account already and are transferring family members or loved ones over to your account, make sure to submit using THEIR PHONE NUMBERS FOR EACH REBATE (not yours as the primary account owner). You need to submit each rebate individually for each number your transferred.
- The codes for each transfer are below based on the deal you were given at the store. The codes are based on which phone you purchased and the plan you selected. The eligibility requirements for the $200 and $300 appear to be the same, so be sure to refer to the deal the salesperson offered you.
SCROLL ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS MESSAGE TO FIND THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

- Once you submit your rebate claim, make sure you received a confirmation email that will include a tracking number for EACH line you submitted. You should receive this right away. SAVE THESE EMAILS AND TRACKING NUMBERS. If you call to inquire, they will ask you for these numbers.
- Typically, your rebate will be reviewed and validated within in a week. You may get an email that says your submission is invalid.
- Call Verizon (*611) to have them identify the submission problem for you and resubmit your rebate on your behalf. You will be connected to a call center in the Philippines, and they will contact the rebate center to identify the problem with your submission. Once they resubmit, you should receive and email immediately confirming the submission and new tracking numbers. SAVE THESE EMAILS AND TRACKING NUMBERS. Click those links to make sure the submission worked and confirm the tracking number with the Verizon support person. SIDE NOTE: The call center workers are bearing the brunt of our understandable frustration, but it is not their fault, so try to be nice.
- If you had to resubmit, it will take another week for them to confirm the validity of your submission. If you make it past this part and they confirm your submission, you are told you must wait up to 8 weeks to receive your reward via email, so who knows what new adventures lie beyond this point.
- To check the status of your rebate, go here: https://www.yourdigitalrebatecenter.com/#!/check-my-status
You will need to enter the tracking numbers from the emails you received for each submission.

IF YOU HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR AND HAVE CURRENTLY OR EVENTUALLY RECEIVED YOUR REBATE, PLEASE REPLY AND SHARE ANY FEEDBACK OR OTHER TIPS SO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT WORKED.

I will suggest to go to one of their regional Verizon store if you are going to switch to Verizon and buy new 5G phone and want to get the Switcher rebates. You can call Verizon to get the address near your house.
second, make sure the rebate is not expired. Your purchasing date is within the timeframe for the rebate.
good Luck!

@rio1000, thank you so much for your well-detailed post. 👍 Why Verizon makes promos so complicated to redeem mystifies me because it can't be helping them with customer retention and there are threads every day from people who can't get some promo or another to work.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
