Customer Service and Upgrade

I've been with Verizon for over 5 years. I avoid upgrading until my phone basically doesn't work because it always increases my bill every single time. It's insane that the longer you're a customer, the more you have to pay.
I saw in big bold red that " all new and existing customers always get the same phone offers now and when you upgrade". I saw they were offering the s25 Ultra for 0.00 a month and was ready to upgrade. I get to my cart, and it says my device charge is $8 something a month. I reached out to customer service via their chat on the website and ask about this. No matter how many times I repeated the words written on the website, they were never acknowledged by the agents. They only offered me a worse plan than I have now for 80 DOLLARS MORE A MONTH, and then encouraged me to go with another carrier.
Heard loud and clear, Verizon.

Screenshots of the deal and the pricing for a "new customer" and not the same deal for me.

Hello CLP89. I understand your concerns regarding the pricing differences shown. In order for new or old customers to receive the maximum promotional credit, the line is required to be on the Unlimited Ultimate plan. If you click the Details link next to the pricing information, the pop-up will show the details of this promotion.

Have you looked into financing a phone either through Verizon or directly from a device manufacturer, so you don't have to switch out your service plan? I'm speculating you are on an older plan which is no longer available to incoming customers, and hence aren't qualifying for the promotions showing on the website.
The other guys charge in the same ballpark as Verizon for postpaid service, and to get promotions elsewhere, you'd also need to be on some current (often the highest-level) service plan.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
