Poor Customer Service 2

This is what I would say/chat/email/snail mail/telegraph or smoke signal to Verizon.  But, I don't have an account.  Catch22

I tried to place Order No. **** and was refused by Verizon credit. They claimed past due charges. I never had a Verizon account. After five hours of my time and three hours of employee time, I was told to file a Police Report & Verizon on line fraud report. On my recorded conversation, a Verizon employee told me the order could clear several hours after the papers were filed. Is this true? When may my order proceed?

We don't want you to keep having issues with that order, and we hope you're able to join the Verizon family soon! We wouldn't want to make any guesses without having a complete picture of what's going on. From what you've said, this looks to be a possible fraud issue which is why that police report was requested. We also recommend going through with a Fraud Claim here: https://www.verizon.com/about/account-security/file-a-fraud-claim After that, you can reach out to the Fraud Prevention Team at 888-483-7200. They'll be the right department to reach out to for questions about what's going on.

Thanks for the attempt to help.  I have obtained service after about (20) hours of combined my time and Verizon's.  My largest frustration has been with the Verizon Customer Service system.  As a non customer I was only able to access Verizon through the store or the sales team.  Other issues with the order have led me to consider an FTC complaint.  Cheers  Tom
