Problems with November 2024 Apple Promotion

My husband and I switched to Verizon at the end of November 2024 and we were told that we would receive our apple watches and ipads at no additional cost and that our bill would be much lower than it is. It does not appear that our watches and ipads are being fully discounted.

I found this thread after reviewing my bill yet again and seeing that the promised discounts are not being applied. I ordered an Apple Watch and iPad around Black Friday and was promised very similar total costs to other Black Friday deals from the Verizon agent who sold me on them. So I signed up but have been paying probably 3-4x what was expected. I have talked to several Verizon reps about this by phone since. Even with the connectivity discount the last one applied, these devices are 3x what they should be. It looks like I am not the only one having this issue. If we want to talk numbers, the sales rep quoted less that $8/ for both device cost and connectivity for the watch. Currently, there is a 50% promotion applied and the cost of the watch is $21/mo. Please help!
