Promotional credit

I visited a Verizon store two weeks ago to sign up for two new phones lines with two new phones (iPhone 16 Pros). The promotional credit should have been $27.77 per bill per month over 36 months.

When I got the first bill, the deal was for much less than promised ($18 promo credit per month). I was able to get the promo credit corrected through Verizon customer service, but when I finally received my itemized receipt from the Verizon store (which took forever - I had to physically return to the store to get it), I had been charged $199 for "Device Payment Promotion". At the time he ran my credit card, he had said that I would only be charged for "taxes".

I don't understand why I would be charged a flat fee for a promotion. I've submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well, but hoping just to get it worked out with Verizon.

Resolution Update: By partnering with support, the issue of unkown charge was reviewed and resolved. If others encounter similar problems with a charge on their recent purchase, you can go to the "my orders" section of the My Verizon app to see itemized receipts of recent purchases if the orders were done online, over the phone or at a authorized store location.
