I recently signed up for a new line on our family plan, and also purchased an iPhone 14 for the new line.
Part of the deal included a $200 Verizon gift card. The gift card arrived with the phone, but when we went to our local Verizon store to purchase some accessories for our new phone, the local specialists informed us that our card has a zero balance. We were told to contact customer service since the original transaction was online, but I have not been unable to get any resolution. Anyone else have this issue?

Update: I spent an hour on the phone with Verizon customer service. After being put on hold multiple times, I was told that Merchant cards would be able to help me so I was transferred to that department. However when I was transferred, the agent told me that they only deal with purchased gift cards, not promotional gift cards. So they said they would transfer me to the correct department for resolution. They ended up transferring me to the Verizon Customer service line!
Note: my receipt has the following description for the gift card: "Digital Exclusive $200 AAL Abandon Cart Sweetener - DPP and Full Retail - Consumer - Online only."

Iโm having the same exact issue. The $200 gift card I received says there is $0 on it and itโs inactive.

MCO2013, definitely want you to be able to use the card on either billing or something else. So to help with checking it out, first when you check the balance on this page: https://www.verizon.com/sales/nextgen/giftcardbalance.html
It's confirming a $0.00 balance? If so, did you try using the card at all before checking the balance? Either on your account or to purchase something?

When I go to the link, this is all it says. I just received the card and havenโt used it at all, it just keeps saying invalid or inactive.

No there wasnโt, I only received my new phones, receipts for the phones and a gift card loose in the box. But when I tried using the gift card it is saying invalid.

I added a new line and purchased a galaxy A23 5w and a black verizon gift card was also mailed to me. Purchased on June 5th and it was delivered June 7th . The card Was also shown on my receipt as being shipped with phone. The card states inactive and no balance is on the card.

This is very frustrating. I called customer service and sat on the phone for over an hour. She stated she filled out a form and I woukd receive an email with my new gift card information. That was Friday and I have not received an email yet. I signed up for this promotion due to the $200 dollar gift card because it would help off set the new first bill since it is over $300 for the first month. Also based on the community forum this seems to be an issue with alot of people. Why can we not get cards that work yet? Why has a solution not been made to go in place when this problem that has been around for months now arises? This is FALSE advertising at this point. To advertise a product and then not follow through and it is lying to the customer to get new business and a new service line. I'm very very annoyed and upset.
