Restocking fee! Buyers beware !
I have an iPhone 12 max, and after installing the new iOS software the phone started to not functioning properly. It would no longer accept the charge for a USB port type charger. It would also not allow me to make phone calls or text messages sometimes unless I rebooted it and shut it down and restarted it.
I became so frustrated that I went to the Verizon store to trade it in for the new iPhone 16 Max.
The line at the store was so long that I decided to just try to order it online.
I originally picked the silver and was in the process of checking out online but something didn’t seem correct so I went back to make sure I got the proper discount.
Apparently, when I did this, it automatically change the color of the phone to. I guess the default color which is desert !! Maybe because they have a lot of those and they need to get rid of them ! lol
I picked up the phone from the store the following day and when I opened it, I realized it was not the correct color !
I tried to return it and exchange it for the color that I originally tried to order, but they are trying to tell me . I have to pay a $50 restocking fee ! I’ve been a loyal customer for over 27 years and I simply stay with them out of convenience not because they’re the best deal in town!
I refuse to pay the $50 just out of principle. All I did was open the box I did not touch the phone. All the other wrapping is still intact!
I’m going to attempt to call this other phone number that the gave me when I went to the store !
If they do not rectify my situation, I’m going to return the phone and I’m going to no longer do business with Verizon!
I will simply go to another carrier and I’m just at the point .
They really annoyed me .
I also have a pretty big social media following, and I will be sure to let everybody know the poor customer Policies they have with this situation so no one else becomes a victim Of this ridiculousness.
it’s not like they even tell you or warn you that if you open the box that you will be charged $50 !
I will let you guys know what my outcome was !
This is a poor policy that they are inflicting on people to try to charge them $50 because they ordered something online that they either incidentally put in or they just simply didn’t like when It arrived !
Giving them one more chance tomorrow.
