Sunday ticket

NFLticketwaiting

Last month I signed up for both 5G home internet and a cell phone plan, leaving Tmobile.  Main reason for this move was NFL Sunday ticket.  For years I've relied on DirecTV for Sunday ticket, Youtube now has the contract.  As a Miami Dolphin fan, living in the Pacific NW, Sunday ticket is the only way I can watch the Dolphins on sunday..

The Verizon salesman actually recommended the two phones that I and my wife ended up purchasing as new customers for the new cell service plan(Unlimited Plus).  He said I would be contacted by Verizon, in the "near future" regarding Sunday Ticket.  After a couple weeks of getting no contact, I called customer support.  I was walked through my Verizon account to the dashboard where I was told I should see a link to NFL Sunday ticket.  There was no link.  Support person then delved into my account and stunned me by telling me I did not qualify for Sunday Ticket.  She said the Iphone and the Motorola phones I bought did not qualify, I needed to purchase a specific phone from an eligibility list, which she then read to me.  I would need to upgrade one of the two phones.  I then asked about the 5G home internet.  She said that only offered a $100 rebate for Sunday Ticket, not the full cost.

She put me on hold to "double check".  While on hold I pulled up Verizon's website and read the Sunday Ticket promotion, not understand how both I and the salesman completely misunderstood the Sunday Ticket promotion.    Reading the website, clearly I qualified as both new 5G home internet customer and new cell phone customer.  Existing customers need to upgrade their phone to an "eligible phone".  New customers just need to purchase a phone and the Unlimited Plus plan that I purchased.  The list she read me was the eligibility list on Verizon's website, for EXISTING customers, not new.  The NFL Ticket promotion for home internet has ZERO words referencing a rebate.  Was very simple, get 5G home internet and you get Sunday ticket.  Only requirement was Sunday Ticket has to be activated within 60 days of getting 5G home internet.

When she comes back on, she repeats that I don't qualify.  I need to upgrade my phone.  I told her she was wrong and read to her what I was reading from Verizon's website.  Repeating multiple times, I am a NEW customer, not an existing customer.  She said I was wrong but she could help me with upgrading my phone.   I then brought up home internet, telling her there is no mention at all of a rebate.  I was put on hold again and the second time she came back, she said Verizon will be providing me with NFL Sunday Ticket.  She said I will be receiving an email with the directions on getting Sunday Ticket.

That was over a week ago.  I've checked email and my Verizon dashboard every day since, I've gotten nothing.

I was wondering if the "private note" that the customer support response actually assists anyone and if so, can I get a private note.

Also wondering if Verizon has a Plan B in place regarding weekly Sunday Ticket rebates.  The NFL season is 18 weeks, 17 games and bye week.  At $450 for Sunday ticket, that is $25 a week for the regular season.  If this continues to delay and customers actually miss entire weeks, will Verizon be rebating $25 per week of missed Sunday Ticket?  Also, technically the regular season starts tonight, 9/7/23, Lions at Chiefs.  I know its on Prime and Sunday Ticket doesn't kick in until 9/10 but I was told, for this promotion, I would have it before the season starts.
