We upgraded 3 phones on our account (2 iPhone & 1 galaxy) we were told with our upgrades we would each get a free watch if we added a line for the watch. We did this and the galaxy watch is the only one showing free on bill. We've had many heated discussions with verizon and keep getting the run around answer. .. "they're looking into it". It has been almost a month.

It’s not free from where I stand. They rope you into having service. Whether you get the watch or iPad. I asked if it was a requirement, girl said yes. They bill it as a new line then charge an activation for it as well.

Same here ! But if I have learned anything at all from my experience is that .. no matter what or how desperate you are “Do not do any business with an approved retailer store. Do yourself a favor and go to corporate” These authorized retailers lie to get their commissions! Next thing you know “it is not free”. “ Doesn’t come free with your plan” or “They have added and changed your plan so that they can look as if they opened the new account”.

Another new member to your Club of mislead customers regarding the free apple watch. I was told numerous times if we turned in an old working apple watch (which we did) we could get everything for free under the promotion. We asked numerous times that if we took this promotion everything was free -- no additional charges on our bill -- and we were told yes! We are now being charged a device payment for 36 months and a shared line fee (not to mention the activation fee). After speaking with a customer service representative for about a half hour, I was told if I was given false information by a retail store, I would need to go back there. So much for customer service. So here I am posting my issues in hopes that it will save another family the trouble we are going through.

Yes, I am still confused as to what I paid a $150 for when I upgraded my phone from at a retailer store! When I contacted Verizon they said it was for taxes. I have never paid $150 in taxes just for upgrading my phone! I had to pay the activation fee and other fees when I received my bill.

I also would like an explanation. When we upgraded my daughters phone and added a line we were told the iPad and Apple watch were free. But shortly after I noticed on my bill I am being charged each month for them. I've been with verizon for over 20 years. I plan on going as high as I can to get my money I have paid for free promotional items back and no more charges.

Thank you for reaching out about clarification for the watch promotion. When was the purchase made? Was any trade in required? Was this part of a bundle? https://www.verizon.com/support/device-deals-faqs/

We recently upgraded our plan to include new phones and watches. We were told we’d get the upgrade to Apple Watch Series 10 for free as part of the promotion. Now we are being charged a reduced monthly fee for the watch service, but also a 36 month commitment free for each watch. We had so many problems with this transaction working through one of the authorized retail outlets. Many services were added that we did not authorize such the addition of several perks for hotspots, enhanced no add premium charges for the Streaming services we wanted, and new activation fees for the watch lines when they already existed for the prior watches. After several phone calls, we were able to get most of these things corrected but very frustrating with the under handed manipulation of our services. Also the cost of the new “c” charging devices cost about 3 times more than they did direct from vendor. So don’t by these items at 5he retail store. Now for one more call regarding the watch charges. Based on others comments, it apprears those will be fruitless efforts.
