Just got the new series 7 GPS + Cellular. When I go to set up the cellular service, the watch is telling me that there is no sim card. Called Apple and they said that should not be the problem and that I should contact Verizon. I have been waiting on hold for someone to answer for a very looong time.

Did they ever fix your problem? I am having the same issue with my new Apple Watch bought through Verizon. Apple support troubleshooting said the watches IMEI needed to be manually added to Verizon’s data base. I informed Verizon tech support and was told that was not the problem and to wait for my incident ticket to be reviewed. It’s been over 15 days now of waiting for someone to correct and fix this issue. I am very frustrated as every time I check I am told the same line of “your ticket is still being reviewed”.

Same issue. I just call and get a credit every month since they refuse to resolve the issue.
