I want to use this in a home I use for a week or two every month or month and a half. I would keep it plugged in in for 4 to 6 weeks so I could monitor the electronics when I'm gone. I need Wi-Fi for the thermostat, cameras and lights.

Hello, EdAZ2. You certainly can have your Jetpack device plugged into a power source for an extended amount of time. We do just recommend to periodically unplugging the device from the power source to keep the device from overheating and to help support the device's battery longevity.
