Great question sheepes. I can certainly assist you with your blu-ray inquiry. This is definitely a possibility. You actually don't need the blu-ray drive to accomplish this. You can achieve this a couple of ways with the movies you've downloaded to your Ellipsis 8. If you use Chromecast with your TV (either built-in or via external USB hookup) you can play your movies with this service. I actually do this with my own tablet using a microUSB to HDMI adapter that I can then plug into my TV to watch the movies on my tablet.
