I'm trying to host a Plex Media Server from my home network, and we use Verizon for all our internet because other providers don't operate in our area. I started out with a Verizon MiFi Home and Voice, which was running our My Cloud Server, But I needed to upgrade to a QNAP TVS 473 NAS in order to run Plex. The new NAS requires UPnP to be enabled along with all the Port Forwarding in order to function properly. I was able to set up Port Forwarding, but I cannot for the life of me find the switch for UPnP. Does the Smart Hub have this capability? Is there any other Verizon "router" which has the capability I'm looking for? Is there any way around this problem?
Are you needing a public IP address for this configuration?
