Ellipsis 7 Update to MV7A_31D26_422

I keep hearing that there is a new updated software (MV7A_31D26_422) that was released for the Ellipsis 7 in early February, but I am not able to get it for some reason.   I go into Settings > About Tablet > Software Updates > Check New and it keeps telling me that my tablet is up to date.  Currently it has MV7A_31D25_422A so obviously if MV7A_31D26_422 is released it is not the up to date.  Has anyone been able to successfully install the new version on their Ellipsis 7?  Is there a way for me to force the install?  I have tried both connected via Wifi and 4G LTE and get the same results.  I really want to get this update so I can take advantage of the 16G micro SD card that I have installed.  Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

If your tablet is on MV7A_31D25_422A or MV7B_31D41_422 your tablet is up to date. If you would like more information, please refer to this memory announcement.

Most devices running newer versions of Android (the operating system on this tablet) do not allow moving apps to SD card. You may move media files to your SD card.

Following are some tips for memory management:

3) Consider reducing the number of days that email is synchronized on your device (if this will not negatively impact your email use). If you are using an email client, please navigate to Settings>Accounts (select account) >Account
settings>Select account>make sure “Days to Sync” is set to 3 days or fewer. 

4)  Please uninstall any unwanted applications (other than those that were preinstalled): Settings>Apps>Downloaded
5) To free up additional memory space, please move media files to SD card

Update: Our product team confirmed that 31D25_422A is the most recent version for new devices.  31D26_422 is for devices that were already in the market and were shipped with launch software. There was an update to improve the initial software.

We have SW version MV7A_31D26_422 and I see no difference with it. Can anyone help with fix?

I still have the 31 D 25 model software I really need this update so if there's any tech support looking at this please help can I give us the manual download

I too am interested in the update that everyone is speaking of.  Regardless of when the product rollout was, if this update includes what I have read in numerous places, ALL product owners DESERVE to have the update, especially if it allows one to move the location of downloaded apps from the device storage to the ext_sd_card.  This is obviously an important issue to everyone, especially with the small amount of actual device storage.  I finally was able to check for updates (only after I restarted my device and turned on the radio and go through 4G vs WiFi, and found the same... my device was up-to-date.  I actually have two devices (one for me and one for my wife), and request the update be pushed to both devices.

Has this release been made available to everyone? I got my Ellipsis 2 weeks ago, and it currently has software version 25 installed. If the release of version 26 has notnot been made available, how can I move installed apps to my SD card?

Hey I think the update to this forum page needs some work.

But more importantly, I still haven't received my update to my tablet. Any idea on an ETA?

I have the same issue with this. I cannot get update over my WiFi at all and its the older software still. Please help.

I went to the store and called tech support several times And they said the issue was the tablet cannot receive updates through the WiFi until you update the software through 4g, so I get 4g and it still doesn't connect to server, can I get a push also.  This is getting ridiculous.

I am sorry for the issues you having with updating your tablet software. Are you connected to wifi also when trying to process the update? What happens when you connect to the data services and try? Has your tablet ever shown that there was an available update?

Never showed update available 4G is offline because I don't have service to the device anymore too expensive but I do want the latest version

Thanks for the additional information b.senia24! Our resources indicate that software update can only be performed when connected to our network for this device. You will need to activate the device in order to update software.

I am becoming very upset. I turned off my wifi and turned on my data. I still can not get the update. this is very important to me because i would like to use my sd card i bought. when is this issue going to be fixed? FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAY A MONTH AND FOR WHAT I PAID FOR THIS PRODUCT THIS SHOULD NOT BE HARD TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
