How do I delete old notifications?

We have a Verizon MiFi 4620LE Jetpack.  It works great - no problems.  I have a question about the "notification" text messages received by the device.  I have old messages listed that go back 2 years, and I want to erase them.  I see no way to do this using the menu functions.  How do I erase old notifications?
